The Italian Society of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Microbiology (SIMTREA) has announced the 7th International Conference on Microbial Diversity 2023, which will take place in Parma from 26th to 29th September 2023, at the Paganini Congressi.

The Conference is organized by the University of Parma, and among the many distinguished guests and partners, the OnFoods Foundation will also be present.

The MD is a prestigious international congress that has witnessed a steady increase in the number of participants over the years. The previous MD editions attracted a multidisciplinary audience, including microbiologists working in agriculture, food, environment, health industry members, researchers, and basic scientists from 36 countries, creating an exciting forum.

The theme of the 7th Edition of MD is "Agrifood Microbiota as a Tool for a Sustainable Future," and it includes four sessions: FOOD microbiota as a tool for a sustainable future; HUMAN microbiota as a tool for a sustainable future; ENVIRONMENT microbiota as a tool for a sustainable future; Sustainable future has come.

"We believe that Parma is the ideal place at the right moment to host MD 2023, as it is the cradle of many ideas in various research fields and is hosting several events that bring people together from all over the world. With the world population continuously increasing, we are facing challenges such as food security, food safety, climate changes, and pandemics. We firmly believe that the agrifood microbiota and its diversity will be the key to a sustainable future." The Italian Society of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Microbiology (SIMTREA)

The OnFoods project will be presented on Friday, 29th September 2023, at 9:00 am.
