HACKonFOODS brings together young researchers and leading companies to co-design innovative solutions for the future of food systems.
The event is organised in collaboration with leading partners from the agri-food sector, including Bolton Food and De’ Longhi Group.
This full-day hackathon is designed to reimagine the future of food systems by bringing together young researchers and industry experts. Participants will work on real, timely challenges proposed by partner companies, applying human-centred innovation methodologies to develop creative and impactful solutions.
Throughout the day, teams will work intensively to develop their ideas in response to the challenges launched by the partner companies. The winning teams will gain direct access to a mentorship programme designed to further develop the solutions created during the hackathon. This pathway, scheduled between the end of 2025 and/or the beginning of 2026, will require selected teams to actively participate in mentorship sessions with industry and business experts to refine and validate their projects.
HACKonFOODS is open to young researchers working on topics aligned with the OnFoods research areas and interested in transforming academic knowledge into real innovation for the agri-food system.
