During the week of Oct. 14-20, Alfredo Ferrante will lead “Food Law and Agenda 2030” an Intensive School on Cisg, Food Law & Sustainability (ISAGS) developed and designed by the University of Pavia and its Department of Law, under the sponsorship of OnFoods and Nodes.

It will analyze the interplay between new legal and social challenges, including Food Law issues, Agenda 2030 and the international legal transaction of economic exchanges under the Vienna Convention on the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

The intensive school will be developed in 3 modules on October 15, 16 and 17, 2024.

  • October 15, 2024 (15:00-19:00, Graduate Hall)
    FIRST MODULECritical analysis and theoretical foundations of the general content.
     
  • October 16-17, 2024 (15:30-19:30, Ugo Foscolo Lecture Hall)
    SECOND AND THIRD MODULELectures analyzing more specific topics through an event that will bring together the most detached jurists, who will gather in Pavia from various parts of the world.

The faculty members are members of the “Advisory Council” of the CISG, a world-renowned body that for the first time is meeting in an Italian university, as well as other leading international experts. The vehicular language will be English.

Registration is mandatory; there are no registration fees.

It is aimed at doctoral students, lawyers and professionals. The openness of this scholarly activity is aimed at areas not only legal but also multidisciplinary or related to food and sustainability issues. The course is validated with 3 credits by the PhD in Private Law, Roman Law and European Legal Culture (12 hours in 3 modules of 4 hours). The conference has been recognized with 6 training credits by the Bar Association in the SFERA platform.
