The Department of Soil, Plant and Food Sciences at the University of Bari has announced a selection process for admission to the Winter School Dalla ricerca all’impresa: Modelli di alimentazione sostenibile (From Research to Business: Sustainable Nutrition Models), established for the current academic year as part of the activities of the OnFoods project.
Applications must be submitted online between 3 and 18 December 2024.

The Winter School, aimed at the acquisition of 6 university training credits, focuses on deepening the issues related to the PNRR OnFoods project. This project’s primary goal is to implement strategies to reduce waste in the food sector, enhance the sustainability and circularity of supply chains, and improve food quality in terms of safety (encompassing both food safety and food security).

Among its objectives, as outlined in the project, is the technological transfer of knowledge and results to local businesses, enabling them to benefit from new insights, analytical techniques, and patents.

Both theoretical and practical activities will support students in acquiring the necessary skills to operate effectively in the food sector, thus contributing to the essential transition toward a more sustainable and safe food system.
